Elderflower Cupcakes

It is the time of the year when the hedgerows around my area are getting full of beautiful elderflower blooms with that aromatic perfume. These are a beautiful ivory colour and look good as a decoration on a vanilla cupcake topped with icing or your favourite butter cream.

Elderflower cordial could be used to flavour the butter cream topping or served as a drink with these elegant cupcakes. The suggested way of serving the flowers is to dip them in batter and fry, perhaps these could also go on a cupcake.
