Carcass Island Cupcakes

This absolutely awesome collections of afternoon tea cakes was made by Lorraine McGill of Carcass Island in the Falkland Islands. They are the only inhabitants on the island which full of amazing wildlife and fabulous beaches. I called there in November. My boat was calling at different islands as it toured this area of Falklands, South Georgia and the Antarctic Peninsula. I could not believe that in this really isolated island that there was a cupcake maker. Not only cupcakes but every variety of afternoon tea cakes you could imagine. Lorraine made these cakes for the cruise boats that anchor in the bay. I wanted to try every type of cake!! If you want to contact Lorraine and ask her about her isolated island home and for hints on how to make all those amazing cakes email to lorraine @ horizon (dot) co (dot) fk
these are some links about the island

Are these cupcakes the most isolated in the world?
Are they the most Southerly made cupcakes in the world?
Does anyone know of some that are made further South or in a more isolated place?
Thanks for reading and have a great Christmas. Crazycupcakes
